Consider using a gobo to keep the hair light off the head of guys with very little hair…

Hi, I’ve been doing home productions, and I’ve been wanting to upgrade my camera into a professional camera, and I was considering this one. However I use Imovie. Will this camera work easily with the mac and Imovie. Please reply as soon as possible.

Thank You!

@Maximillion0430 iMovie uses .mov files right? You should be able to find a video file converter on the web, you can usually find some for free and for the most part they dont loose resolution too much, its just another step to post but it isnt too major

@PeterLinov I belive they are releasing a PAl for non-U.S. countries, it would be pretty stupid of Canon if not

@Maximillion0430 iMovie easily handles AVCHD format and will export your files to m4v files or movie files using Quicktime. Bot formats are compatible with Youtube and FB video.

@Maximillion0430 While your updating your camera you might as well update your editing software. What’s the use of buying a professional camera if your editing a imovie? Get Final Cut or download Avid for free.

Is this camera difficult to use in the field, since all the controls appear to be via a touch screen and not by button and dials? Because of its size, is it difficult to maintain a screen shot while changing settings?

This wasn’t a review… this was an advertisement, I want to know the pros & cons of a camera to weigh them up before spending my money. Not knocking, well made vid but don’t call it a review if you basically just read the brochure.

Well I have purchased one. Have had it for 3 days and what a great camera. I have been a movie maker since age 13 in 1953. Started with Bell & Howell Sportster Std. 8mm. Then an Elmo Super 8 with 200ft cassette. Panasonic P150 VHS – on the shoulder three piece system cost NZ$6800 in 1983. Then a Panasonic M900 and now my dream X10. So many features I need a Mensa member to fathom them all. One great thing is that it plays directly thru my old analogue TV and also in full HD to my PC.

I have a Canon EOS 600D but I will buy also this mostly for the Focus problem that the 600d has. So i will make video-production prefectly! :D
